Germany and Israel finalized a historic defense deal worth approximately €4 billion (about $4.3 billion), marking Israel's largest defense export to date. This agreement involves the Arrow 3 missile defense system, a state-of-the-art technology designed to intercept long-range ballistic missiles. The signing allows production to begin, with the systems to be integrated into Germany's military by the end of the decade as part of Europe's Sky Shield initiative.
 

The Arrow 3 system, developed by Israel Aerospace Industries and the Israel Missile Defense Organization with U.S. funding and technology, serves as a key element in Germany’s strategy to enhance its air defense capabilities. The initiative reflects growing cooperation between Israel and NATO member states amidst evolving global security challenges.
