In partnership with global AI company NVIDIA, the town of Mitzpe Ramon in Israel’s Negev Desert has launched a new $32 million Space City campus under the leadership of the Israeli company Creation-Space.

The location’s unique desert terrain, which resembles the surfaces of the Moon and Mars, makes it an ideal “field laboratory” for space research.

The Space City campus will include a mission control room for space operations, Mars simulator laboratories, and accelerator programs for both startups and international academic research.

Dr. Roy Naor, CEO and co-founder of Creation-Space, said the model for Space City focuses on identifying space challenges with large budgets and building companies that deliver “dual-value solutions” — technologies suitable for both terrestrial markets and future space missions.
