Enlight Renewable Energy is continuing to expand its presence across the European market. According to Calcalist, the Israeli company is currently in advanced talks to acquire a renewable energy developer with a large portfolio of projects primarily located in Germany and other Central European countries. If completed, the transaction would significantly expand Enlight’s activities in renewable energy and energy storage.
The potential acquisition follows Enlight’s acquisition of control of the Jupiter project in Germany earlier this year. Enlight acquired between 51% and 60% of the project, while German investment fund Prime Capital AG retained a stake. Enlight is already active across a growing number of European markets, including Spain, Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Serbia, Ireland, Poland and Hungary.
The company’s recent financial performance also reflects its international growth. In the first half of 2026, Enlight reported revenues of USD 409 million, an increase of 55% year-on-year, while EBITDA rose from USD 227 million to USD 314 million. At the end of the second quarter, Enlight had 21.8 GW of generation capacity and 74.6 GWh of storage capacity, with Europe accounting for 34% of its generation capacity.
The proposed acquisition would give Enlight a larger development platform in Germany and Central Europe and could further strengthen its position in the growing energy storage market. Enlight has so far declined to comment on the negotiations.
