According to the Global Innovation Index 2025, Germany ranks 11th and Israel ranks 14th, with Israel also placing 1st in the Northern Africa and Western Asia region. While Switzerland, Sweden, and the United States lead the ranking, China enters the global top 10 for the first time, signaling shifting innovation dynamics.
 

For Israel and Germany, this highlights complementary strengths that drive bilateral cooperation. Israel stands out for its high-tech intensity, strong startup ecosystem, and R&D excellence, while Germany remains a leader in industrial innovation and applied technologies. Expanding collaboration in AI, cybersecurity, energy, and advanced manufacturing can help translate research and innovation into tangible economic impact.
