Israel is introducing a new government-backed guarantee program to strengthen investment in defense technology startups. The state will provide guarantees worth NIS 200 million (around 60 million US dollars) to two venture capital funds, each expected to raise at least NIS 1 billion. The initiative aims to reduce investment risks in high-tech defense fields such as AI, robotics, cyber defense, and autonomous systems, while ensuring that more companies establish production facilities within Israel. Officials emphasized that the program will not only support national security and technological independence but also stimulate economic growth and job creation.
